I love when it looks like I know what I’m doing. I restarted the dragon painting from earlier, now using UNDERPAINTING technique!!!!
Oh snaps, I think I learned how to handle watercolor.
Skeleton painting is about 75% finished, underpainting for the dragon painting just begun!

It’s Friday night and I’m working on homework. Luckily, my good friend Sierra Nevada is here to help.
If you’ve never painted before, a painting always goes through the “ugly baby” phase. At this point you think you’ve made horrible, horrible mistakes, but with a little perseverance you will get through it. That ugly duckling will eventually grow into something awesome if you keep working at it.
That being said, this is one fugly baby.
Plein air painting in Central Park this past Sunday. Acrylics are the worst outdoors.
Here’s the final piece. I think I might repaint in acrylics it for next week, though.
Several gin and tonics, movies and a lot of will power. not done yet.
